Grivun is a browser extension that blocks websites and hides feeds to help you focus.

What we collect

Nothing. Grivun has no user account, no analytics, sends neither your history nor your settings to any server, and includes no third-party code.

What is stored, and where

Only in your browser's local storage, deleted when you uninstall the extension:

  • The domains you add, the mode of each one and, where applicable, its daily minute limit.
  • Your settings: platforms with feed mode, schedule, session preferences.
  • Daily counters: blocks, focus minutes, intent accesses and minutes spent on sites with a daily limit. Numbers only, never URLs.
  • If you activate Pro, your license key and its status.

What is not stored: the full URLs you visit, the reason you type when asking for access (it stays on that screen and is discarded), and the name or email tied to your purchase.

Permissions

  • declarativeNetRequest: block or redirect navigation to the sites you add.
  • storage and alarms: save your settings and check once a minute whether a session, schedule or limit has ended.
  • scripting: enable feed mode only on the platforms you turn on, and the minute counter only on sites with a daily limit.
  • contextMenus and activeTab: the "Block this site" option in the context menu and the popup.
  • Site permissions (optional): Chrome asks for permission for each site you add or platform you enable. We never read or store the content of those pages, and we give the permission back when you remove the site.

Pro license

Payment happens on Stripe, which collects your email and payment details; we never see your card. When you activate a key, the extension sends that key and a generic device name to our license server (a Cloudflare Worker) to validate it. That server stores the key, the plan, the Stripe customer and subscription ids and the activations; it does not store your email or name. That is the only network communication the extension makes, and it only happens when you start it or during periodic revalidation of an already active key.
